Have you ever made a plan that seemed perfect? You knew what you wanted and even had a timeline. Then life headed in a completely different direction. It can be frustrating, especially when you have worked hard and prayed about it.
We like having a plan
Schedules, goals and lists can help us feel prepared. There is nothing wrong with planning, but sometimes we become so focused on our own timeline that we struggle when God leads us another way.
A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps. — Proverbs 16:9 (KJV)
Faith during the waiting
Waiting for an opportunity, healing, a relationship to improve or a dream to grow can be hard. Growth does not always happen where we can see it. Think of trees in autumn: leaves fall, branches look bare, yet life continues beneath the surface.
A Sunday prayer
Heavenly Father, help us trust You when our plans change. Give us patience when answers take longer than we hoped. Remind us that our worth is not measured by how quickly we reach our goals. Guide our steps, strengthen our faith and help us recognize the blessings already around us. Amen.
From our family to yours: Keep working toward your dreams, but leave room for God to guide the journey.
