The Great Family Sock Mystery

Sharing Our Family With Yours

There are mysteries in this world that may never be solved. Where do hair ties go? Why is the refrigerator empty two days after grocery shopping? And how can two matching socks go into the wash, only for one to come back?

A family laundry basket has its own personality

There is the sock nobody claims, the shirt in the wrong person’s pile, the towel that belongs to everyone and the clean laundry basket that keeps moving from room to room without getting put away.

The house is lived in

An unfinished basket of laundry does not mean anyone has failed. It means clothes are being worn, meals are being eaten and ordinary life is happening. Homes need care, but they do not need to look as though nobody lives there.

Choose the memory sometimes

If the laundry can wait while a child wants to tell a story, let it wait. If your spouse wants to sit and talk, make room for that. The chores will still be there, but the people around us will not stay exactly the same forever.

From our family to yours: How many single socks are living in your laundry room right now? Be honest!
