When the Answer Is Not Yet: Finding Hope in the Waiting
A gentle Sunday reflection for the seasons when answers take time.

Some prayers are answered quickly. Others seem to settle into the silence, leaving us to keep walking through ordinary days with extraordinary questions.
Waiting is not always peaceful. It can be frustrating, tiring and lonely. Faith does not require pretending otherwise. The Psalms make room for grief, questions, gratitude and hope, sometimes all in the same breath.
When the next step is unclear, begin with the small one that is available: offer kindness, rest when you can, ask someone to pray with you or tell a trusted friend what is weighing on your heart. Hope often grows in ordinary moments rather than dramatic breakthroughs.
A delayed answer is not proof that you have been forgotten. Your worth does not depend on how quickly circumstances improve or how cheerfully you handle uncertainty.
If this Sunday feels heavy, remember that you are loved and you matter. Whether you worship in person or online, there is room for you to show up as you are. The Fleming Collective warmly welcomes readers to connect with Pendleton Church of the Nazarene for Sunday worship.
Sharing our family with yours — one beautifully imperfect day at a time.
